Giro d'ITALIA

 Giro di ROMAGNA

 - Giro di TOSCANA

Giro di ROMAGNA

Dates: June 1 - 11, 2004

The cycling culture of Romagna is truly extraordinary and this 11-day tour of the region will give you an in-depth introduction to the total experience of living and riding in the land where the bicycle is still the most celebrated vehicle on the road. Our route will take us around a large loop through some of the most characteristics cities and towns of the region. From the mosaic-filled Byzantine and Early Christian Basilicas of Ravenna, to the Adriatic resort towns Cesenatico and Rimini, to the peaceful lifestyle of a remote agriturismo hidden away in the Apennines, you'll experience the many diversities of this region. Daily rides from 40 to 80 miles on tiny, lightly-travelled roads will take us across the farmlands of the coastal plains to the rolling hills and mountain passes of the Apennines. The final leg of our Giro includes opportunities to take a day trip to Florence by train, join in a local group ride, or visit the factory of a famous custom frame builder. We believe that once you've experienced the awesome terrain, food and spirited cyclists in Romagna, you'll want to come back year after year.

Note: Airport Pickup and Dropoff has been shifted to Rimini due to Construction at Bologna International Airport.
